Making sure that your email gets to us
Thanks to "Spam" sending email is a bit more of a challenge than it used to be...
But with a few simple steps we should be able to communicate.

For those of you are in a hurry, here's the short version:

1. Our email address: diamonds@niceice.com please do not use anything else.
2. Subject line must contain the words "Diamond Inquiry" or "(Your Name) Diamond Project.
3. Content: Always leave the body of any previous email correspondence intact for fastest response.
4. Add our email address diamonds@niceice.com to your "approved" recipient list.
5. If your system had a virus that sent out email to your contact list, your address may be blocked.

Important: If your email address is provided by Hotmail; MSN; Yahoo; Earthlink; Road Runner; etc. you may not receive an email response from us, but it won't be because we didn't respond. These internet providers frequently trash our email as "spam" simply because a few of the keywords in our email correspondence are commercial in nature.  Likewise many large corporations block the email of unknown accounts in an attempt to protect their network from viruses and spam. So if you don't receive a response from us within a reasonable period of time, please telephone us at the numbers listed at the bottom of this page.  Our definition of "reasonable period of time" is a couple of hours during normal business hours Monday through Friday and sometime on Monday if you sent your email to us over the weekend.

Okay the longer version for those of you who want to know.

The only published email address accepted by our server for public access that you want to use to contact us regarding a diamond is diamonds@niceice.com because that is our primary email address.  All others are not checked as frequently.

Be sure to type "diamonds" plural because anything other than this exact address will be automatically deleted by our server as junk mail unless it also happens to be a valid email account and it probably isn't.

Make sure that the word "diamond" or "diamonds" appears somewhere in the subject line if you want to be sure that we don't accidentally delete your email as spam.  The most effective subject line that you could use to catch our attention is "The (your last name) Diamond Project" because it tells us right from the start that your correspondence was generated by a real person and is not spam.  The next best subject line is "Diamond Inquiry" or something else with the word "Diamond" clearly visible in the subject line.

We receive hundreds of email messages per hour...  Literally, hundreds of messages per hour.  Most of the messages are unsolicited "spam" and we tend to delete large groups of these messages based solely on the subject line!  Subject lines containing the following types of opening statements are the first to be deleted in bulk without a second thought:

Hi
Hello
Call Me
It's Me
I miss you!
I'm so excited!
Looking forward to meeting you!
It's so big!
Awesome!

And our personal favorite, "nothing" in the subject line...  As in, it's blank...

By deleted in bulk, we mean exactly that.  If our spam blocking software doesn't clean this type of stuff out of our email program, we place our cursor at the top of the stack of email and drag it all the way to the bottom of the stack of email addresses not containing the word "diamond" or "project" in the subject line and click on the delete button or move the stack to the "blocked" list of email addresses.  It's not that we don't want to see how creative or covert you can be in the creation of your email subject line, it's simply that the "spammers" have gotten all too creative with their subject lines and we simply don't have time to look at every piece of spam that we receive in a day to see if the content of the message actually pertains to our business.

If by chance your email account was infected with a virus which attempted to replicate itself by mailing a copy of itself to everybody on your contact list and we happened to be on it, then your email address has been blocked by our system and you will need to telephone us to have it removed from our blocked list of email accounts.  We automatically block all email addresses which send us virus ridden email, go figure.

!!! Very Important !!!

We pride ourselves on being on top of our email...  We tend to respond to email inquiries promptly during business hours...  If you do not receive a response to your email inquiry within a reasonable period of time during normal business hours, please contact us by telephone because the odds are that we either didn't receive your email message or your service provider is blocking our response...  In other words, we're sending you a response to your questions, but it's just not getting through.

Service providers like Yahoo; MSN; Hotmail; Earthlink; Road Runner, etc. are major problems for us in terms of blocking our ability to respond to you because their Anti-spam software blocks our email responses as "commercial content" regardless of whether you have placed our email address in your approved contacts file.

Private Companies and Large Corporations frequently block or delay commercial type email and email from unrecognized sources for security and anti-spam purposes.  We frequently receive telephone calls from unhappy customers who want to "give us one more chance" to answer their questions or confirm the status of a diamond because they really want to do business with us.  We are very happy to receive these telephone calls because at least it gives us the opportunity to let the client know when we responded to their email and what we had to say. We know that it "hurts" some of you more introverted engineer types to pick up the telephone, but when all else fails, try it because we don't bite that hard.

May we help you find the diamond of your dreams?
